ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆಯೂ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಭಾವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು.
Aa hudugiya tandeyoo taayiyoo aa hudugiya kanyaa bhaavada lakshanagalannu takkondu, pattanada hiriyara munde baagalina balige tarabeku.

- 15ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆಯೂ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಭಾವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು.
- 16ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆಯು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇ ನೆಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ;
- 17ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಅಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕಂಡೆನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟಮಾತಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೂ ಇದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳ ಕನ್ಯಾಭಾವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಸಬೇಕು.
