1. 14ಅವಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿ--ಈ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅವಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವಳು ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಅಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕಂಡೆನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ
2. 15ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆಯೂ ತಾಯಿಯೂ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಭಾವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು.
3. 16ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ತಂದೆಯು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇ ನೆಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವನು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ;
4. 17ಇಗೋ, ಅವನು--ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಕನ್ಯಾಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಅಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕಂಡೆನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟಮಾತಿಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದರೂ ಇದೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳ ಕನ್ಯಾಭಾವದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಸಬೇಕು.
5. 18ಆಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿರಿಯರು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಬೇಕು.
