ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು.

- 3ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸೇರಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
- 4ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು.
- 5ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ನಾಶ ವಾಗುವ ಅರಾಮ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಂದಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಪರವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾದ, ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗವಾದನು.
- 6ಆದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ನಮಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿದರು.
