ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವನು.

- 23ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವನು.
- 24ಅವರ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು. ನೀನು ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಿ; ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವ ತನಕ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರನು.
- 25ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು; ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸಿ ನೀನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು; ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ಉರ್ಲಾ ದೀತು; ಅದು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವೇ.ನೀನು ಅದರಂತೆ ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರ ಬಾರದು; ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅಸಹ್ಯಿಸಬೇಕು; ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೇಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದೇ.
