And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

2. 17ಆಗ ನಾನು ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.
3. 18ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.
4. 19ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೋಪ ರೌದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನು; ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
5. 20ಆರೋನನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
