ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನೀನು ಅವರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

- 4ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದಾಗ--ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

- 6ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ನೀನು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.
- 7ನೀನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡು, ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ; ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.
