ನದಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಿದು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ತುಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನದಿ ಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿವೆಯೋ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವು ಹಿಂತಿರು ಗುತ್ತವೆ.

Nadigalellaa haridu samudrakke hoguttave, aadaroo samudravu tumbuvadilla; nadi galu ellinda bandiveyo aa sthalakke avu hintiru guttave.

Ecclesiastes 1:7 in English

King James Version (KJV): All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea [is] not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

5ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಏರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತಾನು ಏರಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆತುರಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6ಗಾಳಿಯು ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬೀಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಉತ್ತರದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದು ಬಿಡದೆ ಗುಂಡಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತುತ್ತದೆ; ಆ ಗಾಳಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಳತೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಿಂದಿರು ಗುತ್ತದೆ.
7ನದಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹರಿದು ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ತುಂಬುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನದಿ ಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದಿವೆಯೋ ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅವು ಹಿಂತಿರು ಗುತ್ತವೆ.
8ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಯವೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾರನು; ನೋಡುವದರಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣು ತೃಪ್ತಿಗೊಳ್ಳದು. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೇಳು ವದರಿಂದ ಕಿವಿಯು ದಣಿಯದು.
9ಇದ್ದದ್ದೇ ಇರು ವದು, ನಡೆದದ್ದೇ ನಡೆಯುವದು; ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹೊಸದಾದದ್ದು ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
