ಯಾವನು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೀಳುವನೋ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನು ನೋವುಪಡುವನು; ಯಾವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವನೋ ಅದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅಪಾಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

Yaavanu kallugalannu keeluvano avugalinda avanu novupaduvanu; yaavanu kattige kadiyuvano adarinda avanu apaayagolluvanu.

Ecclesiastes 10:9 in English

King James Version (KJV): Whoso removeth stones shall be hurt therewith; [and] he that cleaveth wood shall be endangered thereby.

7ನಾನು ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಸೇವಕರ ಹಾಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವದನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
8ಯಾವನು ಕುಣಿಯನ್ನು ಅಗೆಯುವನೋ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಅವನು ಬೀಳುವನು; ಯಾವನು ಬೇಲಿಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿ ಯುವನೋ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಾವು ಕಚ್ಚುವದು.
9ಯಾವನು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೀಳುವನೋ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನು ನೋವುಪಡುವನು; ಯಾವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಯುವನೋ ಅದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅಪಾಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
10ಕಬ್ಬಿಣ ಮೊಂಡಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಮಸೆಯದಿ ದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು; ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಿದೆ.
11ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ಮಂತ್ರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾವು ಕಚ್ಚುವದು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹರಟೆಯವನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ.
