ಆಗ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ --ಮೂಢನಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ನನಗೂ ಸಂಭವಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಯಾಕೆ ನಾನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಇದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡೆನು.

- 15ಆಗ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ --ಮೂಢನಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ನನಗೂ ಸಂಭವಿಸು ತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಯಾಕೆ ನಾನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಇದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೆಂದು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡೆನು.
- 16ಮೂಢನಿಗಿಂತ ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತನ ಜ್ಞಾಪ ಕವು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈಗ ಇರುವದು ಬರುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಮೂಢನಂತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯೂ ಸಾಯುವದು ಹೇಗೆ?
- 17ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ವ್ಯಥೆಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿತು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಾಸಕ ರವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.
