ಪ್ರಯಾಸಪಡುವವನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತಿಂದರೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಿಂದರೂ ಅವನು ಹಾಯಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡಗೊಡಿಸದು.

- 14ಆದರೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಯಾ ಸದಿಂದ ಆ ಆಸ್ತಿಯು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಇರದು.
