ನಾವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುವವರ ವಂಚನೆಗೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕಪಟದಿಂದಲೂ ಮೋಸದ ಉಪಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ತಂತ್ರದಿಂದಲೂ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗಾಳಿ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ನೂಕಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವ ಬಾಲಕರಂತೆ ಇರಬಾರದು.

King James Version (KJV): That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

12ಆತನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅಪೋಸ್ತರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಸುವಾರ್ತಿಕರ ನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಸಭಾಪಾಲಕರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಉಪದೇಶಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು.

15ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆಯು ತಾನೇ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಿರಿ.
16ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಕೀಲು ಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೋಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿ ಅಂಗದಿಂದ ಅದರದರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಹಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಭಕ್ತಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತದೆ.
