ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕರೆಯುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಸೆರೆಯವನಾದ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
ನೀವು ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿನಯ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವ ಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕೂಡಿದವ ರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
ಸಮಾಧಾನವೆಂಬ ಬಂಧನದಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದುಂಟಾಗುವ ಐಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸಕ್ತರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕರೆಯುವಿಕೆಯ ಒಂದೇ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೇ ದೇಹವು ಒಂದೇ, ಆತ್ಮನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ,
[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಕರ್ತನು, ಒಂದೇ ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಒಂದೇ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ.
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ; ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವೂ ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವಾತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
ಆದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ದಾನದ ಅಳತೆ ಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
ಆದದರಿಂದ--ಆತನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದಾಗ ಸೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಎಂದು ಆತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(ಏರಿ ಹೋದನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಧೋಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿ ದಿದ್ದನೆಂತಲೂ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗಾಯಿತಲ್ಲವೇ?
(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದಾತನು ಮೇಲಣ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಕಾಶ ಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿ ಏರಿ ಹೋದಾತನೇ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿದವ ನಾದನು).
He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರನ್ನು ಯೋಗ್ಯಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತರುವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಸೇವೆಯ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ದೇಹವು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವದಕ್ಕೂಸ್ಕರವೂ
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
ಆತನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅಪೋಸ್ತರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಸುವಾರ್ತಿಕರ ನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಸಭಾಪಾಲಕರನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಉಪದೇಶಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು.
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
ಹೀಗೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇವಕುಮಾರನ ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯ ನೀಳದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟುವೆವು.
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
ನಾವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುವವರ ವಂಚನೆಗೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕಪಟದಿಂದಲೂ ಮೋಸದ ಉಪಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ತಂತ್ರದಿಂದಲೂ ಬೋಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗಾಳಿ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ನೂಕಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವ ಬಾಲಕರಂತೆ ಇರಬಾರದು.
That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆಯು ತಾನೇ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಿರಿ.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:
ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಕೀಲು ಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೋಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿ ಅಂಗದಿಂದ ಅದರದರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಹಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಭಕ್ತಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತದೆ.
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನೀವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರ ದೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನಲ್ಲಿರುವವನಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ವಾದ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ;
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಕುರುಡುತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಜ್ಞಾನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತದಿಂದಲೂ ದೇವರಿಂದಾಗುವ ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ಚಿಂತಿಸದೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಂಡುತನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ನಡಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
ನೀವಾದರೋ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆ ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
But ye have not so learned Christ;
ಆತನನ್ನೇ ಕೇಳಿದಿರಲ್ಲಾ, ಆತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉಪದೇಶ ವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಿರಲ್ಲಾ.
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸತ್ಯೋಪದೇಶವು ಯಾವದೆಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ನಿಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸದೆ ಪೂರ್ವಸ್ವಭಾವ ವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಮೋಸಕರವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವಂಥದು.
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸಬರಾಗಿ ನೂತನ ಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
ಆ ಸ್ವಭಾವವು ದೇವರ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ನೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಜವಾದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಆಡಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಅಂಗಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವಲ್ಲಾ.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
ಕೋಪಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಳುಗುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ತೀರಲಿ;
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡಲೇಬೇಡಿರಿ.
Neither give place to the devil.
ಕಳವು ಮಾಡುವವನು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳವು ಮಾಡದೆ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಯಾವದಾದರೊಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ದುಡಿಯಲಿ; ಆಗ ಕೊರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನಿಂದಾ ಗುವದು.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಮಾತೂ ಹೊರಡಬಾರದು; ಆದರೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡುವಂಥ ಒಳ್ಳೆಮಾತು ಇದ್ದರೆ ಕೇಳುವವರ ಹಿತ ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಆಡಿರಿ.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
ದೇವರ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ದುಃಖಪಡಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಆತನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುದ್ರೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೀರಲ್ಲಾ.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ವೇಷ, ಕೋಪ, ಕ್ರೋಧ, ಕಲಹ, ದೂಷಣೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ದೂರ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ದಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಉಪಕಾರಿಗಳಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವವ ರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರ್ರಿ.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ ದಂತೆಯೇ ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಉಪಕಾರಿಗಳಾ ಗಿಯೂ ಕರುಣೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿಯೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವವ ರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರ್ರಿ.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
