ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಹಾಮಾನನು ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರು. ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
Arasana sevakaru ava nige--igo, haamaananu angaladalli ninti ddaane andaru. Arasanu--avanu olage barali andanu.

- 3ಆಗ ಅರಸನು--ಇದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಘನವೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯೂ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವೋ ಅಂದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- 4ಆಗ ಅರಸನು--ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಹಾಮಾನನು ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ ಗಲ್ಲಿನ ಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದನು.
- 5ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಹಾಮಾನನು ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದರು. ಅರಸನು--ಅವನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 6ಹಾಮಾನನು ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅರಸನು ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಘನಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಹಾಮಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ--ಅರಸನು ನನಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನಾರನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿ ರುವನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
- 7ಹಾಮಾನನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ಅರಸನು ಘನಪಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ,
