ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಗೆಯ ವರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.

King James Version (KJV): But the other Jews that [were] in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

14ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಆ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯು ಶೂಷನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅವರು ಹಾಮಾನನ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
15ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶೂಷ ನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅಡಾರೆಂಬ ತಿಂಗಳ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಶೂಷನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
16ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅರಸನ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಗೆಯ ವರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
17ಅಡಾರ್‌ ತಿಂಗಳ ಹದಿಮೂರನೇ ದಿವಸ ಇದು ಆಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂತೋಷದ ದಿವಸವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
18ಆದರೆ ಶೂಷನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅದರ ಹದಿಮೂರನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅದರ ಹದಿನೈದನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂತೋಷದ ದಿವಸವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು;
