ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಒಂದು ಓಮೆರ್‌ ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂತತಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡು ಅಂದನು.

31ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮನೆತನವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನ್ನ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಅದು ಕೊತ್ತಂಬರಿ ಬೀಜದಂತೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದರ ರುಚಿಯು ಜೇನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಸಿದ ದೋಸೆಯಂತೆ ಇತ್ತು.
32ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದು ಇದೇ--ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿನ್ನಿಸಿದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂತಾನಗಳು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಒಂದು ಓಮೆರ (ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು) ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದು ಅಂದನು.
33ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಒಂದು ಓಮೆರ್‌ ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂತತಿಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಡು ಅಂದನು.
34ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆರೋನನು ಅದನ್ನು (ಮನ್ನ ವನ್ನು) ಕಾಪಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು.
35ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರತಕ್ಕ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿಂದರು. ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಮೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವರು ಮನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿಂದರು.ಓಮೆರ್‌ ಅಂದರೆ ಎಫದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ಒಂದು ಪಾಲು.
