ಆರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರ ವನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿ ಏಳೆನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಸಬ್ಬತ್‌ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.

- 12ನಿನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವಸಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು.
