ತಾನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅದನ್ನು (ಪಶುವಿನ) ಯಜಮಾನನು ಒಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಬದಲುಕೊಡಬಾರದು.

- 10ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಎತ್ತನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಪಶು ವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅದು ಸತ್ತರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಊನವಾದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಓಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರೆ
- 11ತಾನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅದನ್ನು (ಪಶುವಿನ) ಯಜಮಾನನು ಒಪ್ಪಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಬದಲುಕೊಡಬಾರದು.

- 13ಅದು (ಕಾಡು ಮೃಗದಿಂದ) ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಾಗಿ ತರಲಿ, ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲು ಕೊಡಬಾರದು.
