ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮಗೆ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ--ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಇವುಗಳೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

- 9ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ನಾನು ಈ ಜನ ರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಬೊಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.
- 10ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿದು ಅವರನ್ನು ದಹಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡು. ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
