ಆಗ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹ ನಿಗೆ--ಇಬ್ರಿಯರ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು; ಇಲ್ಲ ವಾದರೆ ಆತನು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡಾನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದರು.

- 2ಫರೋಹನು--ನಾನು ಆತನ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ಆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯಾರು? ಆ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನಾನರಿಯೆನು ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
- 3ಆಗ ಅವರು ಫರೋಹ ನಿಗೆ--ಇಬ್ರಿಯರ ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು; ಇಲ್ಲ ವಾದರೆ ಆತನು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡಾನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದರು.
- 4ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಮೋಶೆಯೇ, ಆರೋನನೇ, ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
- 5ಫರೋ ಹನು--ಇಗೋ, ಈಗ ದೇಶದ ಜನರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನೀವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.
