ಆದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನದಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗಾಗಿ ನದಿಯ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅಗೆದರು.ಕರ್ತನು ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದಮೇಲೆ ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳು ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾದವು.
