ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಲೆಯ ಬೂದಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತರು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತೂರಿದನು. ಅದು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹರಡಿ ಹುಣ್ಣುಗಳಾಗು ವಂಥ ಬೊಕ್ಕೆಗಳಾದವು.

8ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರಿಗೆ--ಕೈ ತುಂಬಾ ಒಲೆಯ ಬೂದಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಅದನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಯು ಫರೋಹನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತೂರಲಿ.
9ಆಗ ಅದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಣ್ಣ ಧೂಳಾಗಿ ಅದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಮೃಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಹುಣ್ಣುಗಳಾಗುವ ಬೊಕ್ಕೆಗಳು ಏಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು.
10ಆಗ ಅವರು ಒಲೆಯ ಬೂದಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತರು. ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತೂರಿದನು. ಅದು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಶುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹರಡಿ ಹುಣ್ಣುಗಳಾಗು ವಂಥ ಬೊಕ್ಕೆಗಳಾದವು.
11ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರು ಹುಣ್ಣಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಹುಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇದ್ದವು.
12ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಫರೋಹನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಮಾಡಿ ದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
