1. 23ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ದನು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಗುಡುಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದನು. ಅಗ್ನಿಯು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದನು.
2. 24ಹೀಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದೊಡ ಗೂಡಿದ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯೂ ಸುರಿಯಿತು. ಐಗುಪ್ತವು ಜನಾಂಗವಾದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂಥದ್ದು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 25ಆ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿತು. ಹೊಲದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೊಪ್ಪನ್ನೂ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಕಿತು.
4. 26ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದ ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯು ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5. 27ಆಗ ಫರೋಹನು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರನ್ನು ಕರೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈ ಸಾರಿ ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ನೀತಿವಂತನು, ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ದುಷ್ಟರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
