1. 15ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಸಮಸ್ತ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ರಾಜ್ಯವೆನಿ ಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು; ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತಾನು ದೊಡ್ಡದೆಂದು ಅದು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತಲೆ ಎತ್ತದು; ಅದು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗ ದಂತೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣಗತಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು.
2. 16ಇನ್ನು ಅದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ವಂಶದವರ ಭರವಸವಾಗದೆ, ಇವರು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತರಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಗ ನಾನೇ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದು.
3. 17ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳನೇ ವರುಷದ ಮೊದಲನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ, ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿತು.
4. 18ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನು ತೂರಿಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ತನ್ನ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಂದ ಅತಿಶ್ರಮ ವಾದ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ತಲೆ ಬೋಳಾಗಿದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಗಲೂ ಸುಲಿದು ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟ ಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನಿಗಾಗಲೀ ಅವನ ಸೈನಿಕರಿಗಾಗಲೀ ತೂರ್‌ನಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವೇನೂ ದೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5. 19ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅವನು ಅದರ ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸುಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವನು. ಇದೇ ಅವನ ದಂಡು ಪಟ್ಟ ಶ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಾಗುವದು.
