ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯ ವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬದುಕುವನು.

- 20ಆದರೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನ ದವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
- 21ನಮ್ಮ ಸೆರೆಯ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ವರುಷದ ಹತ್ತನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಐದನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನೊಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹೊಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
