2. 3ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲು ಇದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಪೂರ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಮೊಳ ಅಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಸಿದನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಳುಗುವಷ್ಟಿತ್ತು. 4
3. 4ಅವನು ಸಾವಿರ ಮೊಳಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಸಲು, ಆಗ ನೀರು ಮೊಣಕಾಲುಗಳ ತನಕ ಇತ್ತು; ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಅಳೆದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸಲಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಸೊಂಟದವರೆಗೂ ಇತ್ತು.
4. 5ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಅಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದು ನಾನು ದಾಟಲಾಗದಂತ ನದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ನೀರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿ, ಈಜುವಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ದಾಟಲಾಗದಷ್ಟು ನದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
5. 6ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ; ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆಯಾ ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮತ್ತೆ ನದಿಯ ತೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದನು.
