ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲು ಇದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಪೂರ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಮೊಳ ಅಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಸಿದನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಳುಗುವಷ್ಟಿತ್ತು. 4

- 5ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಅಳೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದು ನಾನು ದಾಟಲಾಗದಂತ ನದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ನೀರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿ, ಈಜುವಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ದಾಟಲಾಗದಷ್ಟು ನದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
