ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಲೇವಿಯರ ಕೂಡ ಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು; ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಶುಚಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸೆರೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಯಾಜಕರಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ತಮಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಪಸ್ಕ ವನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿದರು.

- 21ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವ ರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ದೇಶದ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳ ಅಶುಚಿಯಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಹುಳಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಏಳು ದಿವಸ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವ ರಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಅರ ಸನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
- 22ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ದೇವ ರಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಅರ ಸನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
