ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಿಂದ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಆಯಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರವಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ

1ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಟನ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದನು.
2ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ದನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಂಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಹು ಧನವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
3ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಿಂದ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ಆಯಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರವಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ
4ಮೊದಲು ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಬಂದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.
5ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದ ಲೋಟನಿಗೆ ಸಹ ಕುರಿ ದನಗಳೂ ಗುಡಾರಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
