17ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಳುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕತ್ತಲಾದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಹೊಗೆಹಾಯುವ ಒಲೆಯೂ ಉರಿಯುವ ದೀಪವೂ ತುಂಡುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋದವು.
18ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು--ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಮಹಾನದಿಯಾದ ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸ್‌ ನದಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸುವ

20ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರೂ ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರೂ ರೆಫಾಯರೂಅಮೋರಿಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ಗಿರ್ಗಾಷಿಯರೂ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
21ಅಮೋರಿಯರೂ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ಗಿರ್ಗಾಷಿಯರೂ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
