1. 4ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಮಲಗುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಸೊದೋಮ್‌ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನರು, ಹುಡುಗರು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಮುದುಕರ ವರೆಗೆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮೂಲೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡರು.
2. 5ಅವರು ಲೋಟನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ; ನಾವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
3. 6ಆಗ ಲೋಟನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಬಾಗಿಲನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು--
4. 7ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಈ ಅತಿದುಷ್ಟ ತನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
5. 8ಇಗೋ, ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರು ನನಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರ ತರುವೆನು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದೆಂದು ಕಾಣುವಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ; ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
