ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆದರಿದರು.

6ದೇವರು ಕನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹೌದು, ನೀನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದ ಹೃದಯ ದಿಂದ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ನನಗೂ ತಿಳಿದದೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
7ಈಗ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸು; ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಬದುಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವನು. ನೀನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೋ ಅಂದನು.

9ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದೇನು? ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ? ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.
10ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ನೋಡಿದೆ ಅಂದಾಗ
