1. 8ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆದರಿದರು.
2. 9ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದೇನು? ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಏನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ? ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.
3. 10ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾ ಮನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ನೋಡಿದೆ ಅಂದಾಗ
4. 11ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು--ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವರೆಂದೂ ನಾನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
5. 12ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವಳು ನನ್ನ ತಂಗಿ; ಆಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮಗಳಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಗಳೇ; ನನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದಳು.
