3. 9ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲದ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಪೇಲ ಗವಿಯನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿ; ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
4. 10ಆಗ ಎಫ್ರೋನನು ಹೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಹಿತ್ತೀಯನಾದ ಎಫ್ರೋನನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕೇಳುವಂತೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
5. 11ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ಆ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗವಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಶವವನ್ನು ಹೂಣಿಡು ಅಂದನು.
