ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನ ನಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಆ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

Aaga aa sevakanu tanna kaiyannu tanna yajamaana naada abrahaamana todeya kelage ittu aa vishayadalli avanige pramaana maadidanu.

7ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂಧು ಗಳ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆದು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪರಲೋಕದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ದೂತನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವನು.
8ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಕನ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಿಂದ ನೀನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವಿ. ನನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬಾರದು ಅಂದನು.
9ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನ ನಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ತೊಡೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಆ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
10ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಒಂಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಒಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು. ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ತಿಯು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ನಾಹೋರನ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಮೆಸೊಪೊತಾಮ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
11ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ನೀರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾವಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಟೆಗಳು ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ ಮಲಗುವಂತೆ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
