3. 8ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆ ಕನು ಕಿಟಕಿಯಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದಾಗ ಅಗೋ, ಇಸಾಕನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಸರಸವಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
4. 9ಆಗ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಇಸಾಕ ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು--ಅಗೋ, ಆಕೆಯು ಖಂಡಿತ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು--ಆಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ತಂಗಿ ಎಂದು ಯಾಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದಿ ಅಂದನು. ಇಸಾಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಆಕೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಾಯಬಾರ ದೆಂದು ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆನು ಅಂದನು.
5. 10ಆಗ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು--ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು? ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು.
