ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು--ನೀನು ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೀ ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮರದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ತಿಂದಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ಅನ್ನಲು
Adakke aatanu--neenu bettaleyaagiddee endu ninage tilisidavaru yaaru? Tinnabaaradendu naanu ninage aajnyaapisida marada phalavannu tindiddeeyo? Annalu

- 12ಅವನು--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಆ ಮರದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು; ನಾನು ತಿಂದೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
- 13ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ--ಇದೇನು ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು--ಸರ್ಪವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ತಿಂದೆನು ಅಂದಳು.
