ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಬೇತೇಲ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.

13ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಏರಿಹೋದನು.
14ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಪಾನಾರ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಯ್ದನು.
15ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಬೇತೇಲ್‌ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು.
16ಬೇತೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಎಫ್ರಾತೂರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರ ಇರುವಾಗ ರಾಹೇಲಳು ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟಳು.
17ಆಕೆಯು ಹೆರಿಗೆ ಬೇನೆಯಿಂದ ಬಹು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡು ತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಸೂಲಗಿತ್ತಿಯು ಅವಳಿಗೆ--ಭಯಪಡ ಬೇಡ, ಗಂಡು ಮಗನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಪಡೆಯುವಿ ಅಂದಳು.
