- 17ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು--ಅವರು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು--ನಾವು ದೋತಾ ನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಹುಡಿಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ದೋತಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು.
- 18ಅವರು ದೂರದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
- 19ಅವರು--ಇಗೋ, ಈ ಕನಸಿನವನು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
- 20ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಈಗ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು--ಯಾವದೋ ಒಂದು ಕಾಡುಮೃಗವು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತೆಂದು ಹೇಳೋಣ; ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನ ಕನಸುಗಳು ಏನಾಗುವವೋ ನೋಡೋಣ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
- 21ಆದರೆ ರೂಬೇನನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ--ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದು ಬೇಡ ಅಂದನು.
