1. 4ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
2. 5ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಒಂದು ಕನಸನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದರು.
3. 6ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಈ ಕನಸನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ.
4. 7ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆವು; ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಸಿವುಡು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತಿತು; ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಸಿವುಡಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದವು ಅಂದನು.
5. 8ಆಗ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆಳುವಿಯೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಕನಸುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
