ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಹೀಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಕೋಪವು ಉರಿಯಿತು.

- 19ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಹೀಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನೆಂಬದಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಕೋಪವು ಉರಿಯಿತು.
- 20ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ರಾಜನ ಕೈದಿಗಳು ಬಂಧಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದನು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಆ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು.
- 21ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
