ಗೋಷೆನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರು ವಂತೆ ನೀವು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳೂ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳ ಬೇಕು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯ ರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.

Goshen deshadalli vaasavaagiru vante neevu avanige--chikkandininda indina varegoo ninna daasaraada naavoo namma tandegaloo mandeyannu kaayuvavaraagiddeve endu hela beku. Yaakandare kurikaayuvavarellaa aiguptya rige asahyavaagiddaare andanu.

King James Version (KJV): That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, [and] also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd [is] an abomination unto the Egyptians.
