ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆ ಮಂದೆ ದನ ಕತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು. ಆ ವರುಷವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದನು.

- 17ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆ ಮಂದೆ ದನ ಕತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು. ಆ ವರುಷವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದನು.
- 18ಆ ವರುಷವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹಣವೂ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಂದೆಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ವಶವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿದಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರಗಳೂ ಭೂಮಿಗಳೂ ಹೊರತು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನ ಮುಂದೆ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
- 19ನಾವೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಸಾಯುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ನಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೋ. ಆಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಫರೋಹನ ವಶವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಿರುವೆವು. ನಮಗೆ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಕೊಡು; ಆಗ ನಾವು ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಹಾಳಾಗದೆ ಇರುವದು ಅಂದರು.
