ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಣವು ಮುಗಿದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡು, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರಿತು ಅಂದರು.

- 15ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾನಾನ್‌ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಣವು ಮುಗಿದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು--ನಮಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡು, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಸಾಯಬೇಕು? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೀರಿತು ಅಂದರು.
- 16ಆಗ ಯೋಸೇಫ ನು--ನಿಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಹಣ ತೀರಿದ್ದೇಯಾದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದನಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ (ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು) ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
- 17ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆ ಮಂದೆ ದನ ಕತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು. ಆ ವರುಷವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಿದನು.
