ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಿವಾಳವು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲಾಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಕಿತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಿಪ್ಪೆ ಎಲೆಯು ಅದರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು; ಆಗ ನೋಹನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ನೀರು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಯಿತೆಂದು ತಿಳು ಕೊಂಡನು.

- 12ಇನ್ನೂ ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳು ತಡೆದು ಪಾರಿವಾಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
- 13ಆರುನೂರ ಒಂದನೆಯ ವರುಷದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ನೀರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ನೋಹನು ನಾವೆಯ ಮುಚ್ಚಳವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ, ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗಿತ್ತು.
