ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಭೂಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ--(ದೇವರೇ,) ಯಜ್ಞವೂ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟೀ;

Aadadarinda aatanu bhoolokadolage baruvaaga--(devare,) yajnyavoo arpaneyoo ninage ishtavaagiralilla, aadare nanage dehavannu siddhamaadikottee;

King James Version (KJV): Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

3ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷವು ಆ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕವಾಗುವದುಂಟು.
4ಹೋರಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋತಗಳ ರಕ್ತವು ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
5ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಭೂಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಬರುವಾಗ--(ದೇವರೇ,) ಯಜ್ಞವೂ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನನಗೆ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟೀ;
6ದಹನ ಬಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಪಪರಿಹಾರಕ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ;
7ಆಗ ನಾನು--ಇಗೋ, ಓ ದೇವರೇ, ಗ್ರಂಥದ ಸುರುಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಬರೆದದೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ನೇರವೇರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
