ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನೇ ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದ ಗಾಳಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವು ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನೂ ನಾಶನವನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಅಶ್ಯೂರ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
ಯೆಹೂದ ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತರ್ಕಮಾಡಿ ಯಾಕೋಬನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು.
The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರ ನನ್ನು ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಲಹೊಂದಿದನು.
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
ಹೌದು, ದೂತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಬಲಹೊಂದಿ ಜಯಿಸಿದನು; ಅವನು ಅತ್ತು ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು; ಅವನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.
Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him [in] Beth-el, and there he spake with us;
ಆತನು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ; ಆತನ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಾ ರ್ಥವು ಕರ್ತನೇ,
Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD [is] his memorial.
ಆದಕಾರಣ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊ; ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಕಾಪಾಡು; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರು;
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
ಅವನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸದ ತ್ರಾಸು ಇದೆ. ಕಸಕೊಳ್ಳುವದನ್ನು ಅವನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
[He is] a merchant, the balances of deceit [are] in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು--ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾದೆನು, ನಾನು ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು; ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪವಾದ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅವರು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: [in] all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that [were] sin.
ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
And I [that am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಸಹ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಾನು ದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟತನ ಇದೆಯೋ? ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ; ಅವರು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಹೌದು, ಅವರ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳು ಹೊಲದ ಸಾಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಲ್ಲುಕುಪ್ಪೆಯ ಹಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
[Is there] iniquity [in] Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars [are] as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಸಿರಿಯಾ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾದನು.
And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].
ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಯಿಂದಲೇ ಆತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದನು.ಆದ ರೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ಬಹು ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅದರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವನು; ಅವನ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವನು.
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
ಆದ ರೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮು ಬಹು ಕಠೋರವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅದರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವನು; ಅವನ ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವನು.
Ephraim provoked [him] to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
