1. 6ಬಹಳ ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ--ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟೀ ಸ್‌ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ದಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೋ ಅಂದನು.
2. 7ಆಗ ನಾನು ಯೂಫ್ರೇಟೀಸಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಗೆದು ಆ ದಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದೆನು; ಇಗೋ, ಆ ದಟ್ಟಿಯು ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಬಾರದೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು.
3. 8ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
4. 9ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ --ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಕೆಡಿಸುವೆನು.
5. 10ನನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯಂತೆ ನಡಕೊಂಡು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಜನರು ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾದರೂ ಬಾರದ ಈ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಹಾಗಿರುವರು.
