1. 18ಮೋರೇಷೆತಿನವನಾದ ವಿಾಕಾಯನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಚೀಯೋನು ಹೊಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಳಲ್ಪಡು ವದು; ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ದಿಬ್ಬಗಳಾಗುವದು; ಮಂದಿ ರದ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಅಡವಿಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗುವದು.
2. 19ಅವನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆಹೂದವೂ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರೋ? ಅವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊರೆ ಯಿಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕೇಡಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.
3. 20ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್‌ಯಾರೀಮಿನವನಾದ ಶೆಮಾ ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಊರೀಯನೆಂಬವನು ಸಹ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದನು.
4. 21ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನೂ ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹುಡುಕಿದನು; ಅದರೆ ಊರೀಯನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡನು.
5. 22ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಐಗು ಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರನ್ನು, ಅಂದರೆ ಅಕ್ಬೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ನಾಥಾನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
