ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇರು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ಹೆಣವು ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಲಿಗೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಮಕ್ಕೂ ಬಿಸಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.

- 30ಆದದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇರು ವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ಹೆಣವು ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಲಿಗೂ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಮಕ್ಕೂ ಬಿಸಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.
- 31ಅವ ನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಅಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡಿದಂಥ ಅವರು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡ ದಂಥ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು.ಆಗ ಯೆರೆವಿಾ ಯನು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸುರಳಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನೇರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಲೇಖಕನಾದ ಬಾರೂಕನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಇವನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬರೆದನು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಹಾಗಿರುವ ಅನೇಕ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳು ಅವುಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೂಡಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು.
