ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಮಿಚ್ಪದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ತಂದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

12ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರಕೊಂಡು, ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನೀರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.
13ಆಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿ ಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು.
14ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಮಿಚ್ಪದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ತಂದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
15ಆದರೆ ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನು ಎಂಟು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
16ಆಗ ಕಾರೇಹನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾನು ನೆತನ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅಹೀಕಾಮನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗೆದಲ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಉಳಿದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿ ನಿಂದ ತಾನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕಂಚುಕಿ ಯರನ್ನೂ ಮಿಚ್ಪದಿಂದ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು,
